1. Payment Calculation: Upon the sale of an Artwork, Aspire will deduct its commission, along with any other relevant costs incurred during the Exhibition, such as EFTPOS charges, transaction fees, and any applicable taxes. The remaining balance will constitute the net payment to the Artist.
2. Payment Timing: Aspire will process the net payment to the Artist within 45 days following either:the end of the Exhibition; or
the provision of bank details by the Artist;
receipt of a Statement of Accounts;
and following the complete payment of the Artwork.
This timeframe allows Aspire to reconcile all sales and charges related to the Exhibition and the sale.
3. Payment Delays: Delays after the 45 day period may be expected - depending on the time of year or number of sales in the exhibition.
4. Payment Method: Payment will be made to the bank account details provided by the Artist, via electronic funds transfer. It is the Artist's responsibility to ensure that accurate and current bank details are provided to Aspire
5. Remittance: After payment has been made, Aspire will send a remittance advice to the Artist via email, summarising the details of the Artwork sale, including the sale price, Aspire's commission, any applicable charges, and the net payment amount.
6. Payment Queries: Any queries related to the payment or remittance advice should be directed to Aspire's finance team within 14 days of receipt of the remittance advice. -
1. Delivery of Artwork: Artists selected to Exhibit at Aspire are responsible for the secure and timely delivery of their Artwork to Aspire. All costs related to the postage or delivery of Artwork to Aspire’s physical address, including packaging, postage, insurance, security and any other associated costs, are the sole responsibility of the Artist.
2. Return of Unsold Artwork: At the end of the Exhibition (or Stockroom Period), Artists are responsible for the collection of their unsold Artwork. If the Artist requires their unsold Artwork to be returned via post, the Artist is responsible for all associated costs including packaging, postage, and insurance. Aspire will not be held liable for any damage that occurs during transit.
3. Arranging Postage: When arranging postage for the delivery or return of Artwork, Artists should ensure they use a reliable courier service with appropriate insurance coverage. Artists should package their Artwork securely to prevent damage during transit.
4. Postal Deadlines: Artwork must be delivered to Aspire by the deadline specified for each Exhibition (or in the case of a Stockroom Artist as agreed between the Artist and Aspire). Artwork that arrives late may not be included in the Exhibition. At the end of the Exhibition, Artists must arrange for the collection or return postage of their unsold Artwork within the timeframe specified by Aspire.
5. Proof of Delivery: When posting Artwork to Aspire, Artists should use a service that provides proof of delivery. Aspire is not responsible for Artwork lost in transit and will not accept liability for Artwork that it has not received.
6. Aspire's Packaging Responsibility: If the Artist requires unsold Artwork to be returned via post and has made necessary arrangements including payment for return postage and insurance, Aspire agrees to take reasonable care in packaging the Artwork for return. This includes using appropriate packaging materials to safeguard the Artwork during transit. However, Aspire does not accept liability for any damage that occurs during transit once the Artwork has left the Aspire premises. As such, Artists are strongly advised to ensure that their return postage arrangement includes adequate insurance to cover potential loss or damage during transit. -
1. Storage Period: After the conclusion of the Exhibition, exhibiting artists (the Artist) will be provided with a specified timeframe within which they must arrange for the collection or return delivery of their unsold Artwork (the Collection Date).
2. Return of Unsold Artwork: At the end of the Exhibition, the Artist is responsible for the collection of their unsold Artwork. If the Artist requires their unsold Artwork to be returned via post, the Artist is responsible for all associated costs including packaging, postage, and insurance. Aspire will not be held liable for any damage that occurs during transit.
3. No Collection. If the Artist does not retrieve or arrange for the return of their Artwork within this period, Aspire will move the Artwork to General Storage. Aspire is not responsible for any loss, damage or claim for Artwork moved to General Storage.
4. Storage Fees: Once Artwork is moved to General Storage, a storage fee ($100 per week) will be incurred. The storage fee will be calculated on a weekly basis, commencing from the first day following the specified collection timeframe.
5. Payment of Storage Fees: It is the responsibility of the Artist to pay any accrued storage fees before their Artwork can be retrieved from storage. If the Artist's storage fees remain unpaid for a period of 60 days OR if Aspire has held the Artist’s work in General Storage for more than a year since the end of the exhibition the artwork was entered into, the Artist agrees Aspire may take full possession of the Artwork in lieu of the storage fees and may handle the uncollected Artwork as it sees fit.
6. Removal from Storage: Upon payment of all outstanding storage fees, the Artist may retrieve their Artwork from storage. Any costs associated with the retrieval or delivery of Artwork from storage will be the responsibility of the Artist.
