Andrea Moser

Andrea Moser is an artist and visual storyteller whose work utilizes the power of the visual image to evoke emotions, capture universal cultural truths, and ignite imaginations. Her preferred medium is the encaustic medium, an ancient technique that she uses in a contemporary way by combining it with modern techniques such as pen drawings, gilding, and oil paints.

Her creative process involves applying multiple materials layer by layer, building up layers of wax with a blowtorch to create a tactile quality in her work. Her style challenges preconceived views of the encaustic medium, and she is constantly pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with this technique.

Having grown up in Europe and later moving to Australia, Andrea is inspired by cultural differences and how they shape our perspectives, beliefs, and values. This fascination with cultural diversity is reflected in her art, which aims to create meaningful works that resonate with thinking people and speak to the human experience.

Andrea's artwork has been exhibited in numerous galleries and exhibitions, and she has won several awards for her innovative use of the encaustic medium. She continues to explore new ways to create art that inspires and challenges audiences, using her unique blend of ancient and modern techniques to create works that are both visually compelling and emotionally resonant.
