  • With a passion for colour, Claire’s works are joyful and abundant - filled with layers, textures and tiny details that pull you in. Mark-making is an important element within her work which spans from the intuitive abstract to the naive still life.

Colour is the language Claire uses to explore and uplift with subjects a reflection on daily life and the landscape we work within. Layers and layers mean for delicious textures, and depth that can never be repeated.

A kiwi, with an Architecture background Claire’s works speak of the landscape, made forms and explore the sense and emotions of belonging. From the eternal dichotomy within her to either embrace the abundance, or to simplify to the most fundamental form, (and all the grades in between) her works are first and foremost an expression of emotion, an evolution in time, a comment on the emotions of the now, capturing the joy of life in the moment.
