FAQs

Q: Why have you implemented a collection policy?

A: We all get busy, which is understandable, but sometimes our friendly nature gets the better of us and we are holding art well after a collection date (our longest so far has been from 2015). The Collection Policy, lets us take action and tidy up our storeroom.

Q: Why is there a storage fee?

A: We implemented a storage fee to give a timeframe of action. If there’s no consequences, we cannot take any action ourselves!

 Q: I won’t be able to collect my art until <blank date>!

A: Contact us. We’re not scary and we’re not unreasonable!

Q: You’re not open when I can collect my art!

A: During the Exhibition Year, Aspire is regularly open. If you cannot collect at the times nominated above, contact us or request postage.

Q: I thought my art would be shown at Aspire after the <exhibition> if I left it with Aspire?

A: We often do showcase art or ask to hold onto some art for longer than an exhibition, but if we haven’t asked you, then the art is just sitting in storage.

Uncollected Artwork Storage Policy

1.     Uncollected Artwork Storage Policy 2023:

1.1.   Storage Period: After the conclusion of the Exhibition, Artists will be provided with a specified timeframe within which they must arrange for the collection or return delivery of their unsold Artwork. If the Artist does not retrieve or arrange for the return of their Artwork within this period, Aspire will move the Artwork to General Storage. Aspire is not responsible for any loss, damage or claim for Artwork moved to General Storage.

1.2.   Storage Fees: Once Artwork is moved to General Storage, a storage fee ($100 per week) will be incurred. The storage fee will be calculated on a weekly basis, commencing from the first day following the specified collection timeframe.

1.3.   Notification: Aspire will notify the Artist via email or via the update of the above list when their Artwork has been moved to General Storage and the storage fee has commenced.

1.4.   Payment of Storage Fees: It is the responsibility of the Artist to pay any accrued storage fees before their Artwork can be retrieved from storage. If the Artist's storage fees remain unpaid for a period of 30 days or more OR if Aspire has held your work in general storage for more than a year since the end of the exhibition the artwork was entered into, Aspire reserves the right to take full possession of the Artwork in lieu of the storage fees.

1.5.   Removal from Storage: Any costs associated with the retrieval or delivery of Artwork from storage will be the responsibility of the Artist.
