Danielle Lovatt is an emerging artist and experienced Secondary School Visual Arts teacher based in Lismore, Bundjalung Country. Working primarily in painting and ceramics, she blends reality and imagination through symbolism, decorative patterns, and subjective color, creating intimate scenes that celebrate the beauty of the everyday. Her hand-built, vibrantly painted ceramic pieces whimsically reference historical ceramic traditions and the meeting of Eastern and Western influences.
Danielle has exhibited extensively, and recently was a finalist in the 2024 Interior Art Prize at Weswal Gallery (Tamworth), the Foot Square exhibition at Aspire Art Gallery (Brisbane), and a selected exhibitor for the Inverell Contemporary hosted by the Inverell Art Gallery. Her work is held in private collections both nationally and internationally.
Danielle holds a Diploma in Creative Arts, a Bachelor of Visual Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Education, and a Diploma in Art Therapy, further enriching her artistic practice with a deep understanding of creative expression and education.
