Gill Cameron

Gill Cameron is a mural artist, Illustrator and textile designer based in Bondi. She creates original artworks, limited Edition Prints and large scale murals inspired by her coastal environment and the characters in her community. Gill is fascinated by the fluid nature of watercolour and liquid acrylics and uses their unpredictable nature to create her art, layering up washes and pushing boundaries to give her work depth and bring it to life.

In her most recent collections, Gill has focused on the Ocean Pools and harbour beaches she loves, allowing the viewer to see a snapshot of her life and everything she loves about the ocean and harbour. The colour, movement and energy of the sea and the sky are juxtaposed against the architecture and structure of the foreshore.

Gill has painted 2 murals on the Bondi Beach Sea Wall and has a
permanent Mural in Perry Lane, Paddington. Gill won the Aspire Gallery ‘Foot Square’ Competition in 2022, and was also a finalist in the ‘Inside this Box ’ Exhibition at the Cornerstore Gallery in 2022 and the WWAS 9x5 Landscape Prize in 2021.
