Rob McMullan is a Sydney based artist originally from New Zealand, where she she studied Fine Arts at the Otago School of Art.
Her practice draws heavily on nature, in which the intention is to create a sense of quiet disquiet. Working in layers, allowing paint to react creating textured and found colors, she uses automatic mark-making details are a gestural response to the energy she gains from nature and the ideas which she transfers to her vibrant canvases.
