Sabene Pollock
Sabene Pollock is most commonly known as Little Swallow Art and is a Brisbane based artist. With a degree in Industrial Design and over twenty years in retail, Sabene has combined her skills to create a range of images that reflect her love of colour and form. She has been painting since high school, but has not been a full time artist until recently. Working in her favourite medium, acrylics, Sabene paints original works on canvas and British Paints paint sample cards.

It is her love of form and colour that both dictates and drives Sabene’s subject matter. From landscapes to seascapes to still life, Sabene’s work is an exploration of colour and an expression of the places and things that she loves. Her skills and techniques have been honed through the exploration of different subject matter.
Inspiration can strike at any time of day or night. Some ideas are generated through physical visits to new or favourite places. Others ideas are spurred by visual media. Every now and then, an idea is derived from a dream the night before. It is through themed exhibitions and competitions that Sabene enjoys the challenge of generating new work, while continuing to produce the style of work she is best known for.
