“Making the Invisible, Visible”

By Julie Stirling | 6 August - 3 September

You don’t usually think of thoughts being something visible, but many of the arts are expressions of ideas, thoughts, experiences and imagination; dance, poetry, novels - and my artworks and their accompanying poems challenge this idea.

Experiences, interactions and influences throughout or lives from infancy to old age and shape and change our ideas, perspectives and spirituality. My artworks explore these characteristics visually with colour, shape and form.

Some works have layered images, but increasingly my works have become purely digital.

Whilst I do have poetry to accompany most artworks, I like the viewer to respond first with their own ideas and perceptions. I encourage different perspectives about my work. We all see things differently because of different experiences and I am open to discussion.
