Yellow Robin

Martine Zajacek is an emerging artist with a love of antique and vintage printed paper in all forms. She has a passion for showcasing its inherent and often forgotten beauty, and using the medium of collage to create artworks of layered complexity and beauty.
Colour, tone and composition are such strong elements in her collages, no doubt because of her training as a graphic designer. Themes found in her work include reuse and renewal of antique materials, a focus on colour, and a restraint of composition. Australia’s unique flora and fauna are often feature in her work, celebrating what could be lost if we don't protect our unique environments and habitats.
