My painting is inspired by the first posy of peonies my very clever friend, Krista, grew as part of her science research project. Her determination and painstaking efforts led her to becoming the first and only person to successfully grow peonies in Qld. Krista is a scientist, artist and florist and continues to grow peonies, often featuring them in her beautiful floral designs.
