Ann is based in Perth’s beachside suburb of Mindarie and her studio is attached to the front of her home shared with her husband, her son, two staffies and a cat. She has been professionally creating her acrylics and pastel paintings for
over 15 years.
She challenges herself continually to capture the beautiful moments seen and experienced on our West Coast beaches using pastel or acrylic as her mediums of choice. Ann’s ultimate goal is to produce paintings that make people stop, pause and escape for a moment enjoying the beauty in front of them.
Her studio is an artist hub, Ann has been sharing her knowledge by teaching art both locally, interstate and overseas. Teaching both adults and children, running numerous workshops, art exhibitions and hosting annual international art retreats. Ann’s classes are always filled with fun and laughter, as she believes art should be a heart lifting experience full of freedom, exploration, joy and play.
Ann’s passion for seascapes stems from her love of the ocean. Travels throughout Australia provides her with an endless source of inspiration. The southwest holds a special place in her
heart as does Rottnest Island. Ann’s hope is that when a painting
leaves her that it brings many years of joy and captures a memory of a time and place.
