Chris is an acrylic artist from the Northern Rivers region of NSW, where she had the privilege of growing up on a farm. Her love for painting and sketching blossomed early in life, sparked by a gift of oil paints from her mum and dad. Inspired by her surroundings, she began to paint the farm animals and landscapes that filled her childhood and attended art workshops in her local hometown.
After a busy career in another field and raising a family, Chris returned to painting to help cope with devastating grief. This journey evolved into a daily meditative and healing practice, allowing her to fully engage with each artwork and find joy in creating nostalgic, bold, original contemporary pieces
Chris was recently the featured artist at Lennox Arts Collective where she exhibited a collection of colourful acrylic artworks encompassing memories of times spent with loved ones around food. Chris enjoys exploring themes of fleeting memories, along with creating genre-style art, townscapes and landscapes. Her most recent work focuses on how the nostalgia of places and moments plays a vital role in our lives, serving as a source of reflection, comfort, appreciation and celebration, while highlighting the connections we share with those we care about.
