Gemma is an emerging artist working from her home-based studio in Sydney, NSW, having studied Visual Art at the Sydney Gallery School, Meadowbank.
She has run her own Interior Design business for some 30 years, and now combines this experience with her lifelong love of painting and creating. Recently she has specialised in Interior Portraits.
Gemma works mostly in acrylics – a strong emphasis on colour, balance and structure underlies her approach in rendering beautifully detailed interior spaces. She also works on many commissions, with clients turning to her to preserve, for posterity, lovingly detailed impressions of their important rooms.
Gemma’s work has been exhibited and selected for the Hunters Hill and Hornsby Art Prizes, most recently Foot Square 2025 Exhibition at Aspire Gallery in Brisbane, and 40 x 40 exhibition at Newcastle Art Space. She won Highly Commended for Small Works at the 2024 Hunters Hill Art Show. Gemma’s work is held in many private collections.
