Iantha Palioudakis is a multidisciplinary artist based in Perth, Western Australia, working across landscape painting and textile art. With a background in Creative Advertising and a decade of experience running her own graphic design studio, Iantha later retrained as an Early Childhood teacher and operated a children’s art studio before focusing on her own creative practice.
Iantha’s work is unified by a deep fascination with texture and the patterns revealed in the Australian landscape when viewed from above. Her paintings use thick acrylic mediums mixed with sand to build highly tactile surfaces that mimic the layered earth, rock formations, and organic lines of aerial geology. This same love of texture drives her textile art, where the physicality of wool and fabric allows her to echo the same patterns, contours, and earthy tonal shifts found in her paintings.
Across both mediums, Iantha explores the rich reds, ochres, vibrant greens, and deep blues of the Australian bush. Whether through layered textiles or textured paint, her work captures the feeling of touching the land—revealing its rhythm, structure, and the quiet stories held within the landscape’s surface.
