Hilary is a self taught artist working in rural NSW. She has spent a lifetime loving art and finding joy and purpose in being able to create. She has dabbled in many mediums from oils to encaustic, and now works predominantly with mixed media watercolour and acrylic collage.
Her life on a little farm with her family inspires her love of the land and always begins with the sky; wide and blue and unbroken, stormy and ethereal or shot with pink and mauve before the light fades. Her work expresses her experience and love of the Australian landscape through textures, colours and tiny details, representing rolling hills, parched paddocks, tiny sheep and twisted gums.
"For me, the goal is to draw the viewer in and keep them coming back for more, finding something new and immersive, and evoking memories each time they explore a piece."
