Teal is an emerging contemporary artist based in Brisbane, Australia; shaped by a lifelong creative influence from her grandfather, an artist in Broadbeach, whose guidance sparked her passion from an early age.
Her practice embraces art as play. She approaches painting as an invitation to rediscover childlike whimsy through bold colour, humour, and a touch of absurdity; revelling in imagination and the delight of transforming the familiar into something wonderfully strange.
Teal has previously worked as a colouring book artist for independent authors. She is currently exploring anthropomorphism and wordplay, celebrating creativity that refuses to take itself too seriously.
Her work is joyfully silly, rooted in happiness, and created with the hope that it brings a smile to others as well.
