Collection: Andrea Moser
Andrea’s paintings are a celebration of life's beautiful and continuous cycles. She is fascinated by the way nature expresses these cycles – in the blooming of flowers, the building of nests, and the journey of birds. Andrea explores the themes of growth, transformation, and renewal, all essential aspects of celebrating life.
Andrea Moser’s floral paintings capture the fleeting beauty of blossoms, reminding us of the joy and vibrancy that life offers. Nests symbolise home, nurturing, and the promise of new beginnings. And the deconstructed bird paintings are her way of exploring the full arc of a life journey – from fragile beginnings to the strength of flight, and all the stages in between. Andrea breaks down these natural lifecycles into moments that overlap, inviting you to see the connections between them, much like the connections within our own lives.
Having lived in both Germany and Australia, Andrea Moser has come to appreciate how diverse experiences shape our understanding of the world. She believes that nature's cycles resonate with the human experience, and her paintings are an invitation to reflect on the patterns that connect us all.
In her work, she uses the 2000-year-old encaustic medium in a novel, contemporary manner, challenging preconceived ideas about this ancient technique. She is passionate about exploring the creative possibilities of encaustic wax. She combines this ancient technique with contemporary art methods such as oil painting and pen drawings. Using this ancient medium allows her to build layers of texture and meaning, mirroring the complexity and richness of life itself.
Ultimately, she hopes her art encourages you to pause, appreciate the beauty around us, and celebrate the ongoing journey of life.
